Steve will add an ambiance of elegance to any occasion or setting with the mellow sound of his guitar. He can play (and even help you plan) your wedding music from the ceremony to cocktail and dinner music. Steve has a very large repertoire that includes great American standards, classical, Latin, rock, and jazz (see a partial song list below).

Steve began playing guitar at the age of 15. He studied classical guitar at the Chicago College for the Performing Arts and later studied jazz guitar with noted jazz recording artist Clay Moore and has been teaching and performing for over 30 years. For years he performed in the Austin area in jazz and variety bands as a busy guitarist and bassist. In recent years he has performed solo guitar in the Las Cruces area, where he now lives and teaches for the Academy of Music and Dance.

A word about the music.  The audio samples in some cases include overdubbing recordings of myself.  This creates more flexibility in the range of songs I choose, and a fuller sound.  Thus, I am able to play a quiet song solo or an ensemble piece.  I am able to fully recreate these sounds live so the audio samples are exactly what I play at a gig.
